Originally opening in 1972 as Northstar-at-Tahoe, the resort was envisioned as a complete destination from the start. After being acquired by Vail Resorts in 2010, it saw significant investment and upgrades, further cementing its status as a top-tier North American resort. Today, North Star spans 3,170 skiable acres, with a summit elevation of 8,610 feet and a vertical drop of 2,280 feet.
