A Storied History

Beaver Creek Resort officially opened its slopes to the public in December 1980. Conceived by the founders of Vail, the resort was designed to offer a unique, European-style village experience with a focus on luxury and exceptional service. Its world-class reputation was solidified when it co-hosted the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 1989, 1999, and again in 2015, bringing the globe’s best racers to its formidable Birds of Prey downhill course.
